How accurate the figures are

Every published value is transcribed from a grade-A source — a manufacturer owner's manual, a manufacturer service bulletin, NHTSA or fueleconomy.gov — and the page cites the document and page number. That makes our numbers traceable, not universal. Specifications vary by:

If a value is not confirmed from a grade-A source, the page shows "Not yet verified" instead of a number. Treat that as an instruction to check your own manual, not as a zero.

Not professional advice

Nothing here is mechanical, safety, legal or financial advice. Oil capacity, tire pressure and torque values are starting points for a job you do yourself or hand to a qualified technician; they are not a procedure. Recalls listed on a page are a snapshot of NHTSA data at the retrieval date shown — a recall can be issued after we last refreshed, and only NHTSA or the manufacturer can confirm whether your specific VIN is covered.

Fuel economy and cost figures

MPG values come from the U.S. EPA / DOE test programme. Real-world economy depends on driving style, load, temperature and tire pressure, and will usually be lower than the label. Where this site mentions labour rates or cost ranges on the estimating costs page, they are published reference statistics, not quotes: no two shops charge the same, and parts prices change.

Pages link to manufacturers, NHTSA, fueleconomy.gov and image licences so you can check our work. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Reporting a wrong value

If a figure is wrong, tell us the page, the field and the source you are checking against through the report form. Safety-related corrections (brakes, tire pressure, oil) are switched to "Not yet verified" within 24 hours and re-checked within 3 business days. See also terms of use. Questions: [email protected].
