Changelog, verification dates and corrections

Coverage started Oct 15, 2026 · 36 pages published · 4 corrections recorded · last updated Oct 22, 2026

Every page on this site carries three dates, and this page collects them. They are deliberately separate numbers, because "last verified" hides the difference between a page whose text was edited and a page whose figures were actually re-read against the document.

• Added — when the page first went live.
• Source read — when the manual page, NHTSA record or EPA entry it cites was retrieved.
• Human review — when a person read the figures against that document and signed the page off.
• Changed — any later edit to the text or data.

A date in the review column means "a person opened the cited page and confirmed this value on or after that day", not "the text was re-uploaded". The process behind it is described on Data sources & methodology.

Corrections log

Corrections are listed with the pages affected, what changed and — importantly — what did not. A display bug that printed the wrong label does not mean the underlying figure was wrong, and the log says so instead of quietly re-dating the page.

1. Oct 22, 2026 · Scope and photo
The page illustrated a 2024 RAV4 Hybrid Woodland Edition while its oil capacity applies to the 2.5L gasoline engine only. The caption now names the powertrain difference in the same sentence as the photo credit, and the oil figure is stated only after an engine is chosen.
   Pages: 1 affected
Unchanged: Oil capacity (4.5 qt with filter / 4.2 qt without) and every tire row: figures were correct and are unchanged.
2. Oct 22, 2026 · Source link
Four citations pointed at a query-string address on carcare.org (?p=65 and ?p=68) that no longer returns the article. They now point at the articles' own permalinks.
   Pages: 4 affected
Unchanged: The quoted wording from those pages is unchanged; only the link resolves differently.
3. Oct 20, 2026 · Display
The oil quick answer printed an empty placeholder instead of the without-filter figure for the 2020 and 2024 RAV4. Two copies of the capacity parser disagreed about the unlabelled "with / without" pair in the manual. The page now uses one parser that merges the pair.
   Pages: 2 affected
Unchanged: The figures themselves were already correct in the source and on the full table.
4. Oct 20, 2026 · Text
Meta descriptions kept a bare engine label after the viscosity grade was stripped, reading '… with filter, 2.5L 4-cylinder'. The label is now removed with the grade.
   Pages: 4 affected
Unchanged: Visible page text and every published figure.

Each entry is also linked to its pages from the data sources page.

The log

The first 12 rows link to their pages; the rest are listed so the log stays complete without turning this page into a link farm. Every page is reachable from specs, codes or symptoms.
